Getting to Paros.
Fly. Ferry. Or take the slower, more sustainable way.
In February, we’ll travel from Brussels to Paros by train and ferry, bikes and all, to help lay the foundations for the regeneration work in May with local partners.
We'll share the route, the costs and how booking went. And what we learn on the way: how practical it really is, where it takes more planning, and who we'd recommend it to.
Travel contributionEvery participant makes a travel contribution based on the emissions of their journey, for the Posidonia meadows around Paros. We'll share how it works soon.
Bring a bike. Or find one here.
We're working with local partners to offer road and gravel bikes for rent on Paros, and we're developing more options in Athens.
You can also bring your own – by plane, train and ferry.
We'll share practical tips for travelling with a bike as we test the options ourselves.
Finding a place to stay.
Early May is a good time to be on Paros.
The island opens for the season around Greek Easter, the weekend before the Siege. So we expect plenty of places to stay, at prices well below the summer peak.
We'll share recommended areas and useful options as May gets closer.
Make Paros your base.
Using the Siege as preparation for a longer-distance triathlon? Or simply want to stay and train a little longer?
We'll make sure there's a triathlon base camp for you, in the days before or after the Siege – with an attractive local offer, a heated 25 m pool where local swimmers train every day, and the island's roads and trails on your doorstep.
25 mHeated pool, used daily by local swimmers
Come for the race. Stay for the week.
QuestionsPlan your Siege
A few things people will ask
- Q1Do I have to take part in regeneration?
- Yes. Every participant contributes at least one full day between Monday 3 and Friday 7 May. No experience needed. Friends, family and other supporters are welcome to join too.
- Q2Can I race as a team?
- Yes. Race the whole course alone, or share it as a relay of two or three.
- Q3Isn't bringing people to an island for an event the opposite of regeneration?
- Travel has an impact, and we don't pretend otherwise. Every participant makes a travel contribution based on the emissions of their journey. All of it goes to protecting the Posidonia meadows around Paros and, where appropriate, restoring them. We'll share how it works soon.
- Q4When can I secure my place?
- The first places open through early access, from 2 to 22 November 2026. Public registration opens on 23 November 2026. Follow the Siege and you’ll hear first.
